Lenta opens its first hypermarket in Engels

With this opening, Lenta expands its network in the Volga Region to 21 hypermarkets in 17 cities.

St-Petersburg, Russia; 12 March, 2015 – Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of its first hypermarket in Engels.

The new store is a Lenta compact format hypermarket located at 1 Khimikov Prospect, Engels. The store has a total area of 8,660 sq.m, with 5,405 sq.m of selling space and is open from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm, seven days a week. A broad product assortment of 19,000 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Engels and includes Lenta’s private label and federal product ranges alongside local produce. The store has 600 parking spaces and 33 cash registers. The property is rented by Lenta.

The opening in Engels is Lenta’s third hypermarket opening in 2015 and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 111 hypermarkets in 62 cities across Russia and 24 supermarkets in the Moscow region.
